New Microsoft awards
Microsoft 365 announces changes to their commercial pricing. This is the first major pricing update since the launch of Office 365 ten years ago. This pricing update reflects the increased value they have delivered to their customers over the past 10 years.
Microsoft announces 2 price changes
Microsoft is asking all its users to switch to the New Commerce Experience from 1 March 2022 and is increasing (between 4 and 25%) several of its licences to a format that favours annual subscriptions over monthly subscriptions.
From 1 March 2022 you will have the choice between 3 scenarios:
- Change your licenses to an annual subscription, which allows you to have simply the increase of licenses (subject to a commitment of 1 year) with the possibility of increasing your number of licenses (but impossible decrease).
- Keep your licenses on a monthly subscription basis, which will allow you to manage the number of licenses from month to month. An additional 20% increase will be applied to the new licence prices.
- Switch to the New Commerce Experience platform before 1 March 2022 - freeze your current rates for 1 year. The price increase is postponed for one year but you commit annually to your licences.
